Conium maculatum Poison Hemlock - Very tall biennial that can grow up to around 12 feet in height. Stems will have purple splotches that help with identification.Leaves: Leaves are fern-like, toothed and finely divided. Look very similar to wild carrot leaves.Flowers: Flowers bloom from April-August. Aquatic & Riparian Noxious Weeds
Aquatic weeds can be emerged, submerged or floating. An emerging plant is rooted underwater and has a structure emerging beyond the surface of the water (often on a stem, for flowers to be pollinated). Community Recycle Events, Repair & Sustainability Fair, Workshops
Lewis County is working with cities and communities to offer free recycling events and opportunities to properly dispose of certain materials. Please see the Schedule of Events for 2025 listed below.The events are offered to Lewis County residents only, and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. If some recycling containers fill up on the day of the event, that particular recycling opportunity may be closed due to storage and space limitations.
