Lewis County Noxious Weed List 2015
The Lewis County Noxious Weed Control Board adopted a new list for the 2015 field season. The new list includes four new weeds that were added by the Washington State Noxious Weed Control Board. Ravenna grass, Saccharum ravennae (Class A), Pampas grass, Cortaderia selloana (Class C), Jubata grass, Cortaderia jubata (Class C) and Italian arum, Arum italicum (Class C) are the new additions to the list. Gardeners and landscapers may recognize the listing of Pampas grass or Jubata grass. Both have been planted and used in the landscape. Packwood Subarea Plan
A subarea plan is a road map that guides how a specific geography, like Packwood, will grow and develop over the next 20 years. The plan states a vision, goals, and policies for the area. The plan gets adopted as part of the Lewis County Comprehensive Plan and is used to determine updates to zoning maps and development regulations, as well as capital facilities plans for infrastructure like sewer or water. Health Department Classes: When and Where The in-person food worker card classes have been canceled until further notice.Food worker cards can still be obtained online at www.foodworkercard.wa.gov.
