Lewis County Animal Shelter reduces adult dog adoption fees through June 17
Ana, a husky, is among the many adult dogs available for adoption. CHEHALIS – In an effort to help more dogs find their forever homes, the Lewis County Animal Shelter is holding a special dog adoption event – with extended hours and reduced adoption fees. Residents can drop off their Christmas trees and burned out holiday lights from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. today in the parking lot outside the Centralia transfer station at 1411 S. Tower Ave. This is the last weekend to drop off Christmas trees for recycling. Please remove all decorations and tinsel from the trees. Donations will be accepted to support WSU Lewis County Master Recycler Composter volunteer community outreach programs. Flocked and artificial trees will not be accepted. What types of oils can be recycled as used motor oil? Motor oil is only accepted for recycling at the Central Transfer Station in Centralia on days that the Hazo Hut is open to the public.
