  4. Lewis County transfer stations are closed Friday, July 4

    Lewis County transfer stations in Centralia and Morton are closed in observance of the Independence Day Holiday today (Friday, July 4). This closure includes the Administration Office at the Centralia site. Normal hours resume for transfer stations in Centralia and Morton will resume on Saturday, July 5. The Administration Office will reopen on Monday, July 7.

  7. Lewis County Transfer Stations are Closed on Juneteenth Holiday

    Lewis County Transfer Stations in Centralia and Morton are closed today in observance of the Juneteenth Holiday. This closure includes the Hazo Hut and Administration Office in Centralia. The transfer stations and Administration Office will resume regular hours on Thursday, June 20. The Hazo Hut will again be open on June 26 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

  8. Human Remains Found on Joerk Road in Randle

    Human remains were located by a property owner in the 100 block of Joerk Road in Randle on Thursday morning, September 22, 2011. Detectives of the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office say it is a possibility that the remains could belong to a missing person reported to the Sheriff’s Office in April of 2011; however, there is not a positive identification at this time. The remains were located approximately 1.5 miles from where the missing person was last seen.
