    When grant funding becomes available, Lewis County Code Enforcement and Lewis County Department of Public Works, Solid Waste Utility Division partner to hold tire recycling events.At these events, passenger and light truck tires will be accepted for free, and the tires can be on or off the rim.     Bail Information The Lewis County Jail accepts bail on behalf of the court having jurisdiction over the charge an individual is booked on. The amount and type of bail is determined by the court.     Adopt-A-Road Program The Lewis County Department of Public Works, Solid Waste Utility's Adopt-A-Road Program is now available for community groups or like-minded friends and neighbors to pick up litter along county roads.
