    Lewis County Sheriff’s Office received formal notice that they are an official WASPC (Washington Association of Sheriffs and Police Chiefs) Accredited Agency on Wednesday, May 25, 2011, at a WASPC Conference held in Yakima. The accreditation process took the Sheriff’s Office over a year to complete. Only fifty (approximately) agencies statewide have met the accreditation standards and have been awarded the accredited agency status.   6. Lewis County transfer stations are open on Juneteenth

    Lewis County transfer stations in Centralia and Morton are open regular hours on the state-observed Juneteenth holiday, Monday, June 20. Centralia is open from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Morton is open from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Please remember that both facilities close their gates 15 minutes before facility closure. The Administration Office at the Centralia site, however, is closed on June 20. It will resume regular hours on Tuesday, June 21.
