1. Hazo Hut accepts unwanted household chemicals today

    Lewis County residents can recycle up to 10 burned out fluorescent lights at Hazo Hut at the transfer station in Centralia, 1411 S. Tower Ave. Unwanted household chemicals, excluding PaintCare items (Please visit PaintCare.org to learn more about PaintCare items and find out where to drop off PaintCare items locally), up to five gallons of used antifreeze, and a maximum of five gallons of used motor oil can also be dropped off at this time.

  3. Residential customers can drop off unwanted chemicals in Morton today

    Residents may drop of household hazardous waste for free from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at the East Lewis County Transfer Station, 6745 U.S. Hwy 12, just east of Morton. Examples of household hazardous materials that can be dropped off are cleaners, lawn, garden, and pool chemicals.   5. Tire Recycling Event at SWW Fairgrounds (10/26)

    Lewis County residents may recycle up to 12 tires per household for free during this three-day event, today through Saturday, in the south parking lot of the Southwest Washington Fairgrounds. Tires can be passenger or light truck tires, on or off the rim, or semi-truck tires off the rim. The event will not be able to accept any other type of tire.
