  2. Lewis County transfer stations are closed for Thanksgiving Day

    Happy Thanksgiving! Lewis County transfer stations in Centralia and Morton are closed today, Nov. 27, in observance of the Thanksgiving Day Holiday. They will resume regular hours on Friday, Nov. 28. The administration office at the Centralia site, however, will be closed until Monday, Dec. 1.

    During the 2025 legislative session, the Washington State Legislature passed HB 1858 which increases the recording fee to $301.00 for recording an assignment, substitution, or appointment of trustee.   8. Drop off sensitive documents at Community Recycle Event

    The LeMay Mobile Shredding Truck will be at the Community Recycle Event at the Lewis County Road Shop, 111 Pleasant Valley Road, Winlock, WA 98596, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 10. Customers may bring up to 3 grocery bags or boxes of sensitive documents they would like to have shredded. The shredded paper will be recycled after the event.

  9. Chips for Trails Event in Vader

    The City of Vader is hosting its annual Chips for Trails Event at McMurphy Park on Annonen Road from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on April 19. Lewis County residents can drop off chippable branches and limbs that are no larger than 6 inches in diameter. This material will be chipped to spread on park trails.   10. Bring sensitive documents for shredding to Repair & Sustainability Fair

    Residents may bring up to 3 bags or boxes or sensitive documents they would like to have shredded. There is no charge for this service. The shredded paper will be recycled at a paper recycling facility. The event will be offered from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. as part of the spring Repair & Sustainability Fair at the SWFT Center at Centralia College, 807 W. Pear St.
