1. Registration Deadline for Composting Education Workshops

    The WSU Lewis County Master Recycler Composter (MRC) Volunteers will offer a series of composting workshops on May 20 at Salkum Library, 2480 US Hwy 12. Basic Composting will take place from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.; Worm Composting will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; and Know Your Soils will take place from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. The general public is invited to attend any one of the workshops, or all of them.     In some cases, blood will be sent to a toxicology laboratory for testing to determine what substances may be in the decedent's system and what those levels are.This testing can take 4-6 weeks to come back at which point the results are sent to the assigned Forensic Pathologist who will use the results to make the final determination of cause and manner of the death.
