Pe Ell Community Recycle Event
A Community Recycle Event will offer Lewis County residents an opportunity to recycle several materials, shred sensitive documents, and offer proper disposal for others, on Sept. 25 at Pe Ell Town Hall, 111 Main St.Recycling opportunities will be available for the following commodities: televisions, computers, Styrofoam, and yard debris, and household hazardous waste collection will be offered from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. during the event, which is being sponsored by the Lewis County Department of Public Works, Solid Waste Utility, the state Department of Ecology, and E-Cycle Washington. Drop off used motor oil at Hazo Hut today (7/6)
Residents may drop of household hazardous waste for free from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. today at the Lewis County Central Transfer Station, 1411 S. Tower Ave., Centralia. Examples of household hazardous materials that can be dropped off are cleaners, lawn, garden, pool chemicals, and up to 10 burned out fluorescent lights. Texas Rangers Assist Detectives with Arrest of Child Molester
On October 17, 2012, detectives from the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office made a request to Company “B” of the Garland Division of the Texas Rangers to attempt contact with a suspect in a 2007 child molestation case that occurred in the Pe Ell area. Michael T. Yeager, 41 years of age, currently residing in Quitman, Texas was wanted for voyeurism and six counts of 3rd degree child molestation. The original complaint, in 2007, involved Yeager molesting his girlfriend’s fourteen year old daughter while they resided together in the Pe Ell area. The alleged crime occurred over a several year span. …
