  2. Registration Deadline for Composting Education Workshops

    The WSU Lewis County Master Recycler Composter (MRC) Volunteers will offer a series of composting workshops on May 20 at Salkum Library, 2480 US Hwy 12. Basic Composting will take place from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.; Worm Composting will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; and Know Your Soils will take place from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. The general public is invited to attend any one of the workshops, or all of them.   3. Special Meeting of the Lewis County Solid Waste Advisory Committee (virtual only)

    The Lewis County Solid Waste Advisory Committee (SWAC) will host a special meeting at 1:00 p.m. Jan. 10 to receive an overview of the Lewis County Solid & Hazardous Waste Management Plan draft update. A consulting firm, Herrera Environmental, has been working with the SWAC and County staff to update the document.
