    The Coroner's Office works closely with the staff of the Public Health District to identify health issues affecting the public and working to reduce those effects through public education.This is also where copies of Death Certificates can be requested.   5. Transfer stations closed for Christmas Day!

    Lewis County transfer stations in Centralia and Morton are closed on Thursday, December 25 for the Christmas Day Holiday. Transfer stations will resume their regular hours on Friday, Dec. 26. Centralia is open from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. In-bound gates in Centralia close 15 minutes prior to facility closure.; Morton is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

  6. Disposal District meeting canceled today; rescheduled to Feb. 17

    The regularly scheduled Lewis County Solid Waste Disposal District No. 1 Commission Meeting on the fourth Monday of each month has been canceled, and rescheduled to Feb. 17 at 11 a.m. It will take place in the Lewis County Board of County Commissioners Hearing Room on the second floor of the Historic Courthouse, 351 NW North St., Chehalis, WA 98532.

  8. Lewis County Noxious Weed Map

    ArcGIS Noxious Weeds Map Click on the map icon to the left to view. In 2022, your noxious weed control team began recording noxious weed infestations on iForm to be displayed on this map. Although many infestations noted this year have not yet been uploaded, in addition to missing most historical records, we believe this is a great start to a more manageable and efficient tracking system.

  10. Free Tool Library Trial Membership at Earth Month Open House

    WSU Lewis Co. MRC Volunteers invite you to stop by the Floral Park Sustainability Project, 104 E. Floral St., Centralia, to learn more about, the MRC Tool Bucket Library and how to become a volunteer for the environment. Light refreshments will be served. Anyone, at least age 18, is eligible to sign up for a 3-month trial membership to the Tool Bucket Library.
