It will consist of an introduction to Noxious Weeds, their impacts, identification and prevention strategies. Followed by lesson on IPMs (Integrated Pest Management) systems and then we will end with lessons in herbicide; understanding the label, basic functions, and possibly some calibration instructions.

  10. K-9 Narcotics Sniff Leads to Arrest

    On 06-01-2024, at approximately 9:21 p.m., deputies with the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop in the 400 block of State Route 505, Winlock. Deputy Kasinger and his K-9 partner Kimbo were requested to respond to the scene for a narcotics sniff, and upon being deployed K-9 Kimbo alerted on the vehicle. A search warrant was applied for and granted, resulting in the recovery of over 41 grams of methamphetamine and a meth pipe. The suspect was subsequently taken into custody.
