Lewis County Solid Waste Advisory Committee (SWAC)
The Lewis County SWAC meets at 1:00 p.m. the second Wednesday of each month in the Lewis County Public Works Building, 2025 NE Kresky Ave., Chehalis, WA 98532. If a regularly scheduled meeting lands on a holiday, members may elect to cancel the meeting or vote to meet on an alternate date.Meetings are open to the public, but during the current pandemic restrictions the meetings are only being offered online via Zoom. Please contact the Lewis County Solid Waste Utility Office at 360-740-1451 to receive Zoom registration information.

Residents can bring up to 10 burned out fluorescent lights to Hazo Hut
Hazo Hut at the Lewis County Central Transfer Station, 1411 S. Tower Ave., Centralia, is open today from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Residential customers can drop off the following items for free up to 10 burned out fluorescent lights, leftover household chemicals, and up to 5 gallons of used motor oil or antifreeze. The household hazardous waste collection facility is open every Wednesday and the first and third Saturday of each month from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

About the Prosecutor
The Prosecuting Attorney is the chief legal officer for Lewis County. The primary mission of a Prosecuting Attorney is to enforce criminal laws and work for the victims of crime. This includes obtaining orders for restitution for the victim, informing the victim of court dates, and acting as an advocate for the victim at trial and sentencing. The Prosecuting Attorney also acts as legal counsel to the Lewis County Board of County Commissioners and county departments, assists in certain child support cases, and performs a number of other statutory duties.
