Transfer stations in Centralia and Morton are closed for Veterans Day
Lewis County transfer stations in Centralia and Morton are closed in observance of the Veterans Day holiday today, Tuesday, Nov. 11. They will resume regular hours on Wednesday, Nov. 12.

Hazo Hut can accept used antifreeze from residents today
Lewis County residents can drop off a maximum of five gallons of used motor oil and up to 10 burned out fluorescent lights at Hazo Hut at the transfer station in Centralia, 1411 S. Tower Ave. Unwanted household chemicals, excluding paint and PaintCare items (Please visit PaintCare.org to learn more about PaintCare items and find out where to drop off PaintCare items locally), and up to five gallons of used antifreeze can also be dropped off. This time is reserved for residential customers only. Business customers must make an appointment by calling 360-740-1221.

The event will take place from *10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (except where noted) at the Lewis County Area 7 Road Shop (Kiona), 8911 US Hwy 12, Randle, WA 98377.Satellite Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event: Residential customers may drop off their unwanted or left-over cleaners, lawn, garden, pool chemicals, and other household chemicals. Hazo Hut in Centralia is open for residential customers
Hazo Hut at the Lewis County Central Transfer Station, 1411 S. Tower Ave., Centralia, is open today from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Residential customers can drop off the following items for free up to 10 burned out fluorescent lights, leftover household chemicals, and up to 5 gallons of used motor oil or antifreeze. The household hazardous waste collection facility is open every Wednesday and the first and third Saturday of each month from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
