Pleasant Valley Road Shop hosts community recycle event
Lewis County residents will have an opportunity to properly dispose of household hazardous waste and recycle several items for free at a special event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 25 at the Lewis County Road Shop, 111 Pleasant Valley Road, Winlock, WA 98596. Residents can bring in up to 15 fluorescent lights, 5 gallons of motor oil, 5 gallons of antifreeze, and 5 gallons of cooking oil per household. No containers larger than 5 gallons will be accepted. Pre-Registration Program:The Lewis County Coroner’s Office (LCCO) has this program available where a person who is under a physician’s care for a documented long-term illness and who is receiving care (either from family or from a facility) can be enrolled in the pre-registration program.To be added to the pre-registration list the primary care physician has to complete and submit and a Lewis County Coroner’s Office Pre-Registration form that contains the patient’s demographics, the next of kin names and contact, and the mortuary of choice. The LeMay Mobile Shredding Truck will be at the Community Recycle Event at the Lewis County Road Shop, 111 Pleasant Valley Road, Winlock, WA 98596, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 10. Customers may bring up to 3 grocery bags or boxes of sensitive documents they would like to have shredded. The shredded paper will be recycled after the event.
