MRC Tool Bucket Library Open House
The Master Recycler Composters of Lewis County have officially opened the MRC Tool Bucket Library and the Floral Park Sustainability Park. They are inviting the public to an open house from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Aug. 22 at Floral Park Sustainability Project, 103 E. Floral St., Centralia, to learn about both community programs. The tool library is just like a book library, but it offers tools for checkout. Solid Waste Utility staff provides year-round educational programs to the entire community. Transfer Station Tours Solid Waste Utility staff members are available to provide tours of the Centralia Transfer Station in Centralia. Euphorbia oblongata Eggleaf Spurge - Upright perennial growing about 3 feet tall. Has a woody, branched taproot. Plant stems covered in fine white hairs.Leaves: Alternate and hairless leaves that are oblong and finely toothed. Prominent midvein is visible.Flowers: Flowers bloom from May-July. Clustered flowers with a few male flowers and one female flower. Tools, Treasures & Treats!
Plan to attend Tools, Treasures & Treats, the Master Recycler Composters of Lewis County's first tool and bake sale to raise money to support the new MRC Tool Bucket Library. The two-day event will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 10 and 11 at the Floral Park Sustainability Park, 103 E. Floral St., Centralia. Donated tools will be for sale as well as items baked by local volunteers. On Oct. 11, a cider press event will take place.
