    LeMay Inc. offers a curbside organics pickup service in Lewis County from the Town of Pe Ell to the City of Morton and it's Urban Growth Area.   2. Connecting Neighbors for Earth Month Bonus Event: Chipping Event

    Chipping Event10 a.m.-3 p.m. Floral Park Sustainability Project, 104 E. Floral St., Centralia, WA 98531WSU Lewis Co. MRC Volunteers host a chipping event. Residents are invited to bring branches smaller than 8-inches in diameter for chipping. A contractor will chip the branches and volunteers will spread chips on Floral Park trails.

  3. Drop off sensitive documents at Community Recycle Event

    The LeMay Mobile Shredding Truck will be at the Community Recycle Event at the Lewis County Road Shop, 111 Pleasant Valley Road, Winlock, WA 98596, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 10. Customers may bring up to 3 grocery bags or boxes of sensitive documents they would like to have shredded. The shredded paper will be recycled after the event.

  4. Transfer stations closed for Christmas Day!

    Lewis County transfer stations in Centralia and Morton are closed on Thursday, December 25 for the Christmas Day Holiday. Transfer stations will resume their regular hours on Friday, Dec. 26. Centralia is open from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. In-bound gates in Centralia close 15 minutes prior to facility closure.; Morton is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

  5. City of Chehalis Organics Permit Program

    Chehalis residents living within the city limits have a drop off opportunity for yard waste. A resident may purchase a seasonal organics waste permit. This permit allows a resident to drop off yard waste material that will be composted at a location managed by the City of Chehalis. Please click here for the 2024 season information.   6. Sensitive document shredding offered in Morton at Repair & Sustainability Fair

    Residents may bring up to 3 bags or boxes or sensitive documents they would like to have shredded. There is no charge for this service. The shredded paper will be recycled at a paper recycling facility. The event will be offered from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. as part of the Repair & Sustainability Fair at Centralia College East, 701 Airport Way, Morton.

  7. Chips for Trails Event in Vader

    The City of Vader is hosting its annual Chips for Trails Event at McMurphy Park on Annonen Road from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on April 19. Lewis County residents can drop off chippable branches and limbs that are no larger than 6 inches in diameter. This material will be chipped to spread on park trails.     You must pay to recycle tires at Lewis County transfer stations in Centralia, 1411 S. Tower Ave., or in Morton, 6745 US Hwy 12:Please pay at the scale house prior to dropping off.     WSU Lewis Co. MRC Volunteers invite you to stop by the Floral Park Sustainability Project, 104 E. Floral St., Centralia, to learn more about, the MRC Tool Bucket Library and how to become a volunteer for the environment. Light refreshments will be served. Anyone, at least age 18, is eligible to sign up for a 3-month trial membership to the Tool Bucket Library.
