    On 04/10/12 the Lewis County Coroner’s Office was awarded accreditation through the International Association of Coroners & Medical Examiners (IACME). This process began in 2011 and culminated with the inspection process on 04/10/12. We are now one of only five coroner’s offices in Washington State to have received accreditation through this association.The IAC&ME has established a set of accreditation standards and these encompass administration, facilities, forensics and investigative for a total of 130 standards.     Lewis County residents may recycle scrap metal and household appliances for free at the old solid waste drop box at 1105 Winlock-Vader Road from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 7 at a special recycling event organized by the City of Vader and Lewis County Solid Waste Utility. Household appliances accepted in the recycling containers at the event include washers, dryers, hot water heaters, stoves/ranges, and dish washers.
