A subarea plan is a road map that guides how a specific geography, like Packwood, will grow and develop over the next 20 years. The plan states a vision, goals, and policies for the area. The plan gets adopted as part of the Lewis County Comprehensive Plan and is used to determine updates to zoning maps and development regulations, as well as capital facilities plans for infrastructure like sewer or water. The Lewis County Solid Waste Utility and the Master Gardener and Master Recycler Composter programs are sponsoring a free Christmas tree and wreathe collection event. Please remove all decorations, tinsel, and wires. Flocked or artificial trees will not be accepted. Trees from commercial operations will not be accepted. Donations will be accepted to support the Master Gardener and Master Recycler Composter programs. Landowners are notified of their responsibility to participate in the control of noxious weeds to prevent their spread and establishment on lands within Lewis County per Chapter 17.10 RCW Noxious Weeds – Weed Boards and Chapter 16-750 WAC State Noxious Weed list. In response to media inquiries, the following statement is provided: Since becoming Sheriff in 2005, my Office has worked diligently to address all legitimate concerns and information brought to our attention regarding the Ronda Reynolds investigation.
