Weed Board Meeting & County Weed List Hearing, February 13, 2018
The Lewis County Noxious Weed Control Board will be meeting on February 13, 2018 to adopt the 2018 Lewis County Noxious Weed list. The public is welcome to attend the meeting and hearing to consider the adoption of the Lewis County Weed List. The meeting will be held at 4:00 PM in the Lewis County Courthouse, meeting room #003 at 351 NW North St, Chehalis, WA. An open public meeting will precede and follow the public hearing period. The Property Management Section, of the Real Estate Services Division is responsible for managing (except operational matters) all real estate owned by Lewis County, Washington. It maintains the County road files and an inventory of all County-owned parcels. It acquires real estate and other property rights for various public purposes, evaluates the impact of requests to permanently encumber the property by easements, the grant of long-term leases, or the granting of temporary or indeterminate permits. Forest Patrol Assessments
If you are a property owner in unincorporated Lewis County you may be assessed a forest patrol fee for each parcel you own. If your parcel is under 50 acres you are billed a flat fee for each parcel you own. This money is collected by the county treasurer and remitted to the Washington State Department of Natural Resources. If you have more than one rural parcel under 50 acres in the same legal ownership and have paid more than one flat rate fee, you are entitled to a refund.
