    Lewis County residents can drop off unwanted household chemicals, up to five gallons of used motor oil, aerosol (spray) cans), and up to 10 burned out fluorescent light bulbs at Hazo Hut at the East Lewis County Transfer Station, 6745 US Hwy 12, Morton, today from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. These are the limits for each household each day that the Hazo Hut is open.   9. Scrap Metal Recycling Event near Vader and Winlock today

    Lewis County residents may recycle scrap metal and household appliances for free at the old solid waste drop box at 1105 Winlock-Vader Road from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 7 at a special recycling event organized by the City of Vader and Lewis County Solid Waste Utility. Household appliances accepted in the recycling containers at the event include washers, dryers, hot water heaters, stoves/ranges, and dish washers.
