New! STP - Transportation Enhancement Program Grant
The Federal Transportation Acts have provided a 10% set-aside from the Surface Transportation Program (STP) for the enhancement program. The purpose of the transportation enhancement program is to fund projects that allow communities to strengthen the local economy, improve the quality of life, enhance the travel experience for people traveling by all modes and protect the environment. Projects must relate to surface transportation, and include at least one of the twelve (12) qualifying activities contained in the information located here. Applications are due by 5pm, Friday, July 16, 2010.

Residents can drop off their Christmas trees and burned out holiday lights this weekend today through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the parking lot outside the Centralia transfer station at 1411 S. Tower Ave. The event will conclude next weekend (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday). Please remove all decorations and tinsel from the trees. Donations will be accepted to support WSU Lewis County Master Recycler Composter volunteer community outreach programs. Flocked and artificial trees will not be accepted.
