MIssion Statement The Lewis County Sheriff's Office maintains a group of specially trained and equipped deputies that are able to operate in a variety of tactical environments. SRT exists to minimize danger to the public and other law enforcement officers by responding to situations which exceed the capabilities and/or resources of a standard law enforcement response. The team is supervised by Captain Rick VanWyck. Goal To provide a tactical response team capable of rapid deployment, upon request, available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The Lewis County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) is seeking an individual actively involved in farming to serve on the Lewis County Open Space Advisory Committee.The five-member Open Space Advisory Committee represents the region’s farming community and serves in an advisory capacity to the Lewis County Assessor. Its role is to provide guidance in implementing state assessment guidelines for open space, farm and agricultural lands, and timberlands, as outlined in RCW 84.34.
