Other Community Litter Programs
Volunteers in the cities of Chehalis, Centralia, and sometimes other communities in Lewis County organize volunteers to pick up litter. The city of Chehalis has a group of active volunteers called the Chehalis Clean Team. They have a group on Facebook under their name: Chehalis Clean Team and you can get more information from the city of Chehalis website: Chehalis Clean Team. Presidents' Day! Lewis County transfer stations are closed
Lewis County transfer stations in Centralia and Morton are closed all major holidays. They are closed today, Monday, Feb. 16, in observance of Presidents' Day. They will return to regular hours on Tuesday, Feb. 17.

Lewis County Public Health & Social Services is continually working to improve local capacity to respond to public health emergencies. Emergencies and disasters can impact the public's health in many ways. We are working to enhance our Department's internal readiness, in addition to our ability to work more collaboratively with community partners, emergency responders, and elected officials.The Emergency Preparedness Team leads the Department's efforts to prepare for and respond to public health emergencies in Lewis County. Water Laboratory
Lab Operating Schedule Change effective September 1, 2025Beginning Monday, September 1, the Lewis County Public Health & Social Services water laboratory will operate on a new schedule. The lab will be open weekdays during the first and second full weeks of each month.Please see our Water Lab Calendar Water Lab Calendar for specific days and times of operation.
