Jacobaea vulgaris Tansy Ragwort - An herbaceous plant that can either be a winter annual, a biennial, or sometimes a perennial. Mowing may cause the plant to grow like a perennial.Leaves: Twice divided leaves, with leaf stems at the bottom of the plant, but a singular, unbranched, stalk towards the top of the plant. First year Tansy will have a basal clump, and afterwards the leaves are alternate.Flowers: Flowers bloom from June - August. Somewhat flat-topped clusters of yellow disk and ray flowers. The Property and Evidence Office is located off-site from the Law and Justice Center. Property items may be picked up Monday through Friday (excluding Holidays) by appointment only. The Property and Evidence Division is responsible for the overall security, storage and proper disposition of evidence obtained by officers of the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office. The Property & Evidence Manager and one Support Technician II are assigned to the Property and Evidence Division.It is important to call and make an appointment for any release of property. Satellite Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event: At the old Meskill Drop Box, 3127 State Route 6, west of Chehalis, near Doty. Residential customers may drop off their unwanted or leftover cleaners, aerosol cans, lawn, garden, pool chemicals, and other household chemicals. Please be prepared to leave your containers at the event. Workers don't have a place to empty them, and return them to customers at satellite events. Limits for these events are 5 gallons motor oil, 5 gallons antifreeze, 5 gallons cooking oil, and no containers larger than 5 gallons.
