South County Recycle Event
Lewis County residents will have the opportunity to drop off up to 12 passenger and light truck tires per household, and up to two of the following items per household: computers, televisions under 42 inches, and CPUs. This event is being offered on a first-come, first-served basis as long as there is room left in containers from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, June 9, at the old Winlock Solid Waste Drop Box, 1105 Winlock-Vader Road. Residents can drop off their Christmas trees and burned out holiday lights from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the parking lot outside the Centralia transfer station at 1411 S. Tower Ave. Please remove all decorations and tinsel from the trees. Donations will be accepted to support WSU Lewis County Master Recycler Composter and Master Gardener volunteer community outreach programs. Flocked and artificial trees will not be accepted. You may dispose of flocked or artificial trees at the transfer station, where regular fees will apply ($15 minimum for 280 pounds or less.) This event is offered in cooperation with Pacific …
