Sheriff Marine Patrol
The Lewis County Sheriff's Office marine patrol unit and education program was created in the early 1980's in response to the increasing amount of recreational boaters. As recreational boating increased, so did the responsibilities of the marine unit. Today our primary responsibilities are education and enforcement. The Sheriff's Office has two lake vessels, a 20 foot Almar, and a 21 foot N.River. We have two primary inland lakes that we patrol: Lake Mayfield (2,250 sq. acres) and Riffe Lake (11,830 sq. acres). There are several other bodies of water including Mineral Lake, Lake Scanewea, and the Chehalis and Cowlitz Rivers. …

Sheriff's Office Unveils New Program
Sheriff Steve Mansfield will be starting a new program at the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office that he hopes will slow down a growing crime trend in Lewis County. The program, “Prevent Crime – Lock Your Doors Every Time,” begins next week. Sheriff Mansfield said, “Recently we have had numerous problems with vehicle prowls in our county. My office has developed an innovative program to help address vehicle prowls and thefts. This program is about prevention, education, and a strong community partnership to combat this plaguing problem.” The program will consist of Deputies and Support Volunteers providing extra patrols in areas …

Lewis County Noxious Weed Control BoardStewardship Incentive Program IntroductionThe Stewardship Incentive Program is a voluntary “mini” grant program for Lewis County landowners, provided by the Lewis County Noxious Weed Control Board (LCNWCB), with the goal of providing financial assistance to landowners in their efforts to control priority noxious weeds, as identified by Lewis County. Through a simple application process, LCNWCB will provide site-specific noxious weed identification, consultation on appropriate control measures, and reimbursement of up to 75% of the cost of approved noxious weed control measures or 100% of the cost of acquiring an …

Sensitive Document Shredding Event in Centralia (1/6)
Sensitive Document Shredding: The mobile shredding truck will be in the parking lot before you enter the Lewis County Transfer Station at 1411 S. Tower Ave. in Centralia from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Residents may bring up to 3 bags or boxes or sensitive documents they would like to have shredded. There is no charge for this service. The shredded paper will be recycled at a paper recycling facility. Support for this event is provided in part by the Department of Ecology.

The Records Division of the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office is open to serve the public Monday through Friday, (except Holidays), 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. We are located in the Law and Justice Center at 345 W. Main Street, Chehalis, Washington.The records staff independently coordinates and performs a broad range of technical support services to the Operations, Corrections and Services Bureaus. Support technicians are responsible for computer entry, processing, storage, retrieval and dissemination of various reports, records and information within the Sheriff’s Office, along with assisting the public at the counter and on the phone.
