  8. Styrofoam Recycling

    Free Styrofoam recycling is taking place at the Central Transfer Station, 1411 S. Tower Ave., Centralia. Styrofoam must be clean, dry, free of all tape and labels. Look for the #6 Recycling Symbol or EPS inside the symbol. If you are unsure, bend the material. It should break, and you will notice individual beads of Styrofoam. Place Styrofoam in clear bags, or place in bag at event. Black or opague bags cannot be accepted.   9. Hazo Hut's last 2024 opening is today

    Lewis County residents can drop off a maximum of five gallons of used motor oil and up to 10 burned out fluorescent lights at Hazo Hut at the transfer station in Centralia, 1411 S. Tower Ave. Unwanted household chemicals, excluding PaintCare items (Please visit PaintCare.org to learn more about PaintCare items and find out where to drop off PaintCare items locally), and up to five gallons of used antifreeze can also be dropped off at this time, too.
