The Solid Waste Advisory Committee (SWAC) is a group of volunteers who advise the Lewis County Board of Commissioners on solid waste management. SWAC members come from all areas of the county and represent a variety of interests. The SWAC meets if there is a need to in the large conference room, Lewis County Public Services, 2025 N.E. New Boil Water Advisory for the Vader Water System
Due to a large water main break, we are issuing a boil water advisory until normal operations are restored. Bring all water to a boil, let it boil for three minutes, and let it cool before using, or use bottled water. Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, and food preparation until further notice. You will be notified when the boil water advisory is no longer in effect.

Lewis County transfer stations in Centralia and Morton are closed on New Year's Day. They will resume their regular hours on Saturday, Jan. 2, 2021. Centralia is open from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.; Morton is open from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. In-bound gates at both transfer stations close 15 minutes prior to facility closure.

Centralia is open from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.; Morton is open from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. In-bound gates at both transfer stations close 15 minutes prior to facility closure.

Hearing on Proposed Rate Increases at Lewis County Transfer Stations
The Lewis County Solid Waste Disposal District No. 1 will hold a public hearing on or after 1:30 p.m. Monday, March 25, 2024, in the Lewis County Board of County Commissioners' hearing room at the Lewis County Courthouse, 351 N.W.
