Updated Press Release: Gish Road Human Remains
PRESS RELEASE - UPDATE ON HUMAN REMAINS LOCATED IN ONALASKA AREA The Lewis County Coroner’s Office has released the name of the victim whose partial remains were discovered in the 500 block of Gish Rd in Onalaska on Tuesday May 7th, 2024. In May of 2018 the victim, Paul Snarski, was reported missing from Auburn and is believed to have been murdered at a residence on View Ridge Rd in Onalaska. During the subsequent investigation, part of the victim’s body was recovered in Pierce County and a suspect was arrested. The suspect in Paul Snarski’s death was later acquitted of …

The Administrative Office of the Courts recently identified unauthorized activity on the Washington Courts network. They have taken immediate action to isolate critical AOC-provided systems and are working to safely restore service.Please be advised that there will be intermittent impacts to accessibility of the public website and systems in the coming days as we continue to restore services.Courts are preparing to be without Odyssey Court Management System for the Week of November 4-8, 2024.At the court level, we do not have access to courts.wa.gov, JIS, JABS or Odyssey. Special Meeting Notice: Lewis Co. Solid Waste Disposal District No. 1 April 2023 Meeting
Pursuant to RCW 36.58.100 et seq., the Lewis County Solid Waste Disposal District (LCSWDD) No. 1, a quasi-municipal corporation, was established by Ordinance 1124 (now LCC 8.15.150) in 1992, after Lewis County and all incorporated cities signed an interlocal agreement to form it. In addition to forming the district, the agreement established flow control, directing all solid waste generated in Lewis County to be disposed of at LCSWDD sites. Representatives from the cities and the County serve as the Executive Advisory Committee to the Disposal District Commissioners, who by statute are the Lewis County Commissioners. 2014 Noxious Weed List
The Lewis County Noxious Weed Control Board adopted the 2014 County Weed List. The new list for 2014 includes a couple of new additions that landowners and citizens should be aware of: Lesser celandine, (Ficaria verna) or fig buttercup is a low growing perennial that is visible in the spring and dies back by mid-summer. Originally introduced as an ornamental, the species has bright yellow, solitary flowers. It prefers moist ground in open low woodlands, floodplains, and waste areas.
