Short Term Rental Registry Process
On January 1, 2026, all owners and operators of short-term rentals (also known as Air BnBs) will be required to register the rental through Lewis County. Owners/operators will have one calendar year to come into compliance. The registry application will be available starting on January 1, 2026 through the online portal (link coming soon).The requirements are specified in Lewis County Code Chapter 17.105. Hazo Hut at transfer station in Centralia is open today (1/10)
Residents may drop of household hazardous waste for free from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. today at the Lewis County Central Transfer Station, 1411 S. Tower Ave., Centralia. Examples of household hazardous materials that can be dropped off are cleaners, lawn, garden, pool chemicals, and up to 10 burned out fluorescent lights. Lewis County Animal Shelter reduces adult dog adoption fees through June 17
Ana, a husky, is among the many adult dogs available for adoption. CHEHALIS – In an effort to help more dogs find their forever homes, the Lewis County Animal Shelter is holding a special dog adoption event – with extended hours and reduced adoption fees.
