Lewis County Disposal District Meets today at 10:30 a.m.
Pursuant to RCW 36.58.100 et seq., the Lewis County Solid Waste Disposal District (LCSWDD) No. 1, a quasi-municipal corporation, was established by Ordinance 1124 (now LCC 8.15.150) in 1992, after Lewis County and all incorporated cities signed an interlocal agreement to form it. In addition to forming the district, the agreement established flow control, directing all solid waste generated in Lewis County to be disposed of at LCSWDD sites. Representatives from the cities and the County serve as the Executive Advisory Committee to the Disposal District Commissioners, who by statute are the Lewis County Commissioners.The governing board of the LCSWDD …

The Lewis County Noxious Weed Control Board recognizes that managing noxious weeds requires a community wide effort, and everyone living in the county benefits from all of us putting in our fair share of the work. The Washington State noxious weed law, RCW 17.10, mandates that it is each landowners' responsibility to control or eradicate noxious weeds on their property and to prevent infestations from spreading to adjacent properties. To assist landowners in this effort, the Noxious Weed Control Board develops programs that reflect local priorities, meet the needs of county landowners and carries out the mandates of the law. …
