    A free tire recycling events will be held on May 7 and May 8 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day at the Bob Lyle Community Center parking lot. The address for the site is 700 Main Street in Morton.The events, which is for Lewis County residents only, will accept 15 tires per person, passenger and light truck tires on or off the rim, and semi-truck tires off the rim.     Lewis County transfer stations in Centralia and Morton are open today, Jan. 2, 2023. The administration office in Centralia, however, is not open today in observance of the New Year's Day holiday. The administration office will return to regular hours on Tuesday, Jan. 3.
