Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for a 911 Regionalization Feasibility Study
Please see attached. Due to the current situation with COVID-19 Lewis County is accepting electronic submissions for the 911 Regionalization Feasibility Study. As per the submission requirements hard copies are still required and must be received within one week of the electronic submittal. Lewis County Transfer Stations are Open on Labor Day
Lewis County Transfer Stations in Centralia and Morton will be open regular hours on Labor Day, Sept. 6. Centralia will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Morton will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Inbound gates for both sites close 15 minutes prior to facility closure.The Administration Office at the Centralia site, however, will be closed. The office will return to regular hours on Tuesday, Sept. 7.

Last day to apply for 2013 Senior/Disability Exemption
December 31, 2012, is the last day to apply for a Senior/Disability Exemption for the 2013 tax year. Please contact the Lewis County Assessor's office at (360) 740-1392 or in person at 351 NW North St, Chehalis, on the 2nd floor of the Historical Courthouse. Information can be found on the requirements for qualification in the Washington State Department of Revenue's Publication Property Tax Exemption for Senior Citizens and Disabled Persons.

Dangerous Animal Designation Board Being Created
Many Lewis County residents share a love for animals and have consistently shown great interest in the welfare of animals of all kinds. Lewis County Public Health & Social Services (LCPHSS) wants to tap into that passion by reaching out for volunteers to serve on a new Dangerous Animal Designation (DAD) Board. A key reason for creating this board is to enhance public participation in the dangerous animal designation process. More

Hazo Hut at transfer station in Centralia open today (1/6)
Residents may drop of household hazardous waste for free from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. today at the Lewis County Central Transfer Station, 1411 S. Tower Ave., Centralia. Examples of household hazardous materials that can be dropped off are up to five gallons of used motor oil, antifreeze, cleaners, lawn, garden, pool chemicals, and up to 10 burned out fluorescent lights.
