Lewis County Transfer Stations Open on Veterans Day
Lewis County Transfer Stations are open regular hours on Nov. 11, 2021, Veterans Day. Centralia is open from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Morton is open from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Both sites close in-bound gates 15 minutes prior to facility closure! Transfer stations are only closed on the following holidays: New Year's Day, July 4, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.

Sensitive Document Shredding Event in Napavine
Sensitive Document Shredding: Residential customers may bring up to three bags or boxes of documents they would like shredded, and then recycled. This event will take place in the parking lot before you enter the Lewis County Central Transfer Station in Centralia. The LeMay Mobile Shredding truck will be on-site from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Napavine City Hall, 407 Birch St., Napavine WA.

Household Hazardous Collection Day in Morton
Residents may drop of household hazardous waste for free from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. today at the East Lewis County Transfer Station, 6745 U.S. Hwy 12, just east of Morton. Examples of household hazardous materials that can be dropped off are cleaners, lawn, garden, and pool chemicals. Businesses may not bring hazardous materials to the East Lewis County Transfer Station. For more information, please call 360-740-1221.

Tire Recycling Event Sponsored by the Solid Waste Division, Sept 27 - Oct 2
Monday, September 27th through Saturday, October 2nd at the Central Transfer Station located at 1411 So. Tower Ave. in Centralia. Hours that tires will be accepted at the Central Transfer Station site are 7:30 am until 5:30 pm. Residents must come prepared to unload their own tires and please anticipate waiting in line to unload. For more information please click here.

Construction at the Central Transfer Station
Expect delays at the Central Transfer Station while contractors repair the tipping floor, beginning Oct 1, 2018, through the end of November. Customers wanting to avoid the construction will be directed to another disposal location at the transfer station. An alternative during construction would be to call LeMay Enterprises and subscribe to curbside service at your place of residence. For curbside service, please call LeMay Enterprises, 360-736-4769.

About SWAC The Lewis County Solid Waste Advisory Committee (SWAC) serves in an advisory capacity in the development of programs and policies concerning solid waste handling and disposal and to review and comment upon proposed rules, policies, or ordinances prior to their adoption (RCW 70A.205.110).
