Newaukum Bridge Opening February 18, 2011 at 4pm.
PRESS RELEASE Lewis County Public Works would like to announce that the Jackson Highway Bridge crossing the Newaukum River will be open to traffic on Friday, February 18, 2011, at 4 p.m. Future work will occur, with flagger-controlled, one-way traffic during working hours and unrestricted two-way traffic during non-working hours. The bridge replacement contract was awarded to Rognlin’s Incorporated (Aberdeen, WA) in the amount of $2,153,027. Differing site conditions encountered during excavation for the bridge approach work required modified design and modified approach work.
