Background Affordable housing means that a person spends no more than 30% of their income on rent or mortgage. A person making $60,000 per year can afford something different than a person making minimum wage. WSU AgWeatherNet: a tool to plan and manage farm operations
The new Chehalis weather station that is part of the WSU AgWeatherNet system is a local resource for farmers and producers to plan and track weather conditions for weed control treatments and other farm management practices. The weather station was installed at the Chehalis Airport in February, 2016 to provide current and historical weather data. The data can be observed from a mobile phone or your desktop computer at http://weather.wsu.edu. Poison hemlock, poisonous to animals and man
Be alert this spring for Poison hemlock (Conium maculatum), a noxious weed poisonous to sheep, cattle, swine, horses and man. Animals can become poisoned by eating a small amount of the plant. Poison hemlock is common to Lewis County but not a wide spread noxious weed. Often it is associated with old farmsteads and disturbed vacant lots in urban area. The plant can reach a height of three to six feet tall and has light green foliage at flowering. Hemlock flowers in late May and June.
