Chips for Trails at McMurphy Park
Lewis County residents are invited to bring their chippable wood debris to McMurphy Park off Annonen Road in Vader between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. April 30. Examples of acceptable items are chippable branches and small trees. These items will be ground up, then volunteers will spread the chips on trails in the park.

Short Term Rental Registry Process
On January 1, 2026, all owners and operators of short-term rentals (also known as Air BnBs) will be required to register the rental through Lewis County. Owners/operators will have one calendar year to come into compliance. The registry application will be available starting on January 1, 2026 through the online portal (link coming soon).The requirements are specified in Lewis County Code Chapter 17.105. Holiday Closure for New Year's Day
Lewis County transfer stations in Centralia and Morton are closed on New Year's Day. They will resume their regular hours on Saturday, Jan. 2, 2021. Centralia is open from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.; Morton is open from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. In-bound gates at both transfer stations close 15 minutes prior to facility closure.
