  3. Sensitive Document Shredding Event (Vader)

    The Lewis County Solid Waste Utility is partnering with the City of Vader to offer Lewis County residents a chance to have their sensitive documents shredded, and then recycled. The event will take place at the City of Vader Public Works Shop at 376 7th St. Each customer may bring up to 3 Bags or Boxes of sensitive documents they would like shredded. The documents are shredded in the truck, and then hauled to a paper recycling facility.

    The Lewis County Planning Commission is providing options for public access to the meeting in person, online and by phone. Planning Commission meetings take place at the Lewis County Historic Courthouse, 351 NW North Street, Chehalis, WA 98532. The north entrance doors will be opened to the public at 5:30pm.   5. Hazo Hut accepts unwanted household chemicals today

    Lewis County residents can recycle up to 10 burned out fluorescent lights at Hazo Hut at the transfer station in Centralia, 1411 S. Tower Ave. Unwanted household chemicals, excluding PaintCare items (Please visit PaintCare.org to learn more about PaintCare items and find out where to drop off PaintCare items locally), up to five gallons of used antifreeze, and a maximum of five gallons of used motor oil can also be dropped off at this time.
