    The Lewis County Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan, is a countywide plan that identifies risks and ways to minimize damage by natural and manmade disasters.   5. Public hearing for the purpose of leasing solid waste transfer stations

    The Lewis County of Commissioners will host a public hearing on or after 10 a.m. March 11 in the Commissioners' hearing room on the second floor of the Historic Lewis County Courthouse in Chehalis. The purpose of the hearing is to consider renewal of the leases of its solid waste transfer stations in Centralia and Morton to the Lewis County Solid Waste Disposal District No. 1, a quasi-municipal corporation.     Volunteers in the cities of Chehalis, Centralia, and sometimes other communities in Lewis County organize volunteers to pick up litter. The city of Chehalis has a group of active volunteers called the Chehalis Clean Team.
