Scrap Metal, Aluminum Cans, Tin Cans
Aluminum cans and tin cans can be recycled in your curbside recycling container.Curbside recycling is available to all residents in Lewis County. Please rinse your cans, make sure they are empty and dry. Please throw away loose tin can lids. If possible, leave attached when opening and turn them inside the can when recycling. No other scrap metal can be included in your curbside recycling container. Lab Operating Schedule Change effective September 1, 2025Beginning Monday, September 1, the Lewis County Public Health & Social Services water laboratory will operate on a new schedule. The lab will be open weekdays during the first and second full weeks of each month.Please see our Water Lab Calendar Water Lab Calendar for specific days and times of operation. The Lewis County Water Lab is accredited to analyze coliform bacteria and nitrate samples. The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program – Education (SNAP-Ed) is a federally funded grant program that supports evidence-based nutrition education and obesity prevention interventions and projects for persons eligible for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) through complementary direct education, multi-level interventions, and community and public health approaches to improve nutrition.SNAP-Ed is an evidence-based program that helps people lead healthier lives.
