Shred sensitive documents at Napavine Community Recycle Event
The LeMay Mobile Shredding truck will be at the Community Recycle Event at the Lewis County Road Shop, 111 Pleasant Valley Road, Winlock, between Napavine and Winlock, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 25. Residents may bring up to 3 bags or boxes or sensitive documents they would like to have shredded. There is no charge for this service. The shredded paper will be hauled to a paper recycling facility for processing.

K-9 Narcotics Sniff Leads to Arrest
On 06-01-2024, at approximately 9:21 p.m., deputies with the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop in the 400 block of State Route 505, Winlock. Deputy Kasinger and his K-9 partner Kimbo were requested to respond to the scene for a narcotics sniff, and upon being deployed K-9 Kimbo alerted on the vehicle. A search warrant was applied for and granted, resulting in the recovery of over 41 grams of methamphetamine and a meth pipe. The suspect was subsequently taken into custody. Leaf Exchange & Styrofoam Recycling Event
Rake up and bag your leaves so gardeners and composters can put them to good use. Bagged leaves may be dropped off on the event day. Leaves will be available for pickup each day on a first-come, first-served basis, while supplies last. You can also drop off your block and food-service Styrofoam during the event. Make sure the Styrofoam is clean, dry and free of tape. Put each type in clear plastic bags for drop-off. WSU Lewis County Master Recycler Composter volunteers will be on hand to inspect material for drop off and to help the event run smoothly.
