Recycle Christmas Trees & Other Holiday Items in Morton
Christmas trees, holiday lights, cardboard shipping boxes, and wrapping paper can be dropped off for free at the East Lewis County Transfer Station, 6745 US Hwy. 12, just east of Morton, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. from Dec. 26 through Jan. 6, Mondays through Saturdays, except on the New Year's Day Holiday. Check in with the scale house for directions on where to drop off the holiday items for recycling. Artificial, flocked, or decorated trees will need to go in the garbage, where regular fees apply ($15 minimum fee for 280 pounds or less).

Superior Court Civil Arbitration Amount effective 9/1/18
Pursuant to Engrossed House Bill 1128, the Superior Court Judges of Lewis County Washington hereby approve of and authorize arbitratin of civil actions as set forth in RCW 7.06. The effect of this is to increase the limit of arbitration of civil actions up to one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000.00. Effective date 9/1/18. (click for Memo )
