  5. Lewis County Transfer Stations are Open on Labor Day

    Lewis County Transfer Stations in Centralia and Morton will be open regular hours on Labor Day, Sept. 6. Centralia will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Morton will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Inbound gates for both sites close 15 minutes prior to facility closure.The Administration Office at the Centralia site, however, will be closed. The office will return to regular hours on Tuesday, Sept. 7.

  6. Comprehensive Plan and Development Regulation Amendments

    Comprehensive Plan Periodic UpdateBeginning July 2023, Lewis County and all cities in the county are required by the Washington State Growth Management Act to update their comprehensive plans. Lewis County is coordinating this effort through the Planned Growth Committee. Packwood Subarea PlanLewis County is partnering with the community of Packwood to develop a subarea plan.   9. Household Hazardous Waste Satellite Collection Fall Event: Pe Ell

    Satellite Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event: Residential customers may drop off their unwanted or left-over oil-based paint, cleaners, lawn, garden, pool chemicals, and other household chemicals at Pe Ell Town Hall, 111 Main St., Pe Ell, WA. Please be prepared to leaves your containers at the event. Workers don't have a place to empty them, and return them to customers at satellite events. Limits for these events are 10 CFL lights, 5 gallons motor oil, 5 gallons antifreeze, 15 gallons oil-based paint, 5 gallons cooking oil, and no containers larger than 5 gallons.   10. Leaf Exchange (12/2)

    Rake up and bag your leaves so gardeners and composters can put them to good use. This is the final Leaf Exchange of the year! Bagged leaves may be dropped off on the event day. Leaves will be available for pickup each day on a first-come, first-served basis, while supplies last. WSU Lewis County Master Recycler Composter volunteers will be on hand to inspect leaves and help the event run smoothly.
