    WSU Lewis County Master Recycler Composter volunteers are hosting a Basic Home Composting Workshop at Centralia College East in Morton as part of the Repair & Sustainability Fair. Learn how to convert organic materials from your yard, garden, and kitchen into nutrient rich compost to improve your soil, promote healthy plants, and reduce pesky pests! Participants who are interested can enter their names into a drawing for a free compost bin. This event is free to the public.   2. Residents Can Recycle 5 Gallons of Used Motor Oil at Hazo Hut

    Residents may drop of household hazardous waste for free from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. today at the Lewis County Central Transfer Station, 1411 S. Tower Ave., Centralia. Examples of household hazardous materials that can be dropped off are cleaners, lawn, garden, pool chemicals, and up to 10 burned out fluorescent lights. Residential customers may drop off up to five gallons of used motor oil when Hazo Hut is open. This limit is per household per daily visit.   8. Scrap Metal & Appliance Recycling Event

    Lewis County residents may recycle scrap metal and household appliances for free at the old solid waste drop box at 1105 Winlock-Vader Road from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 19. Household appliances accepted in the recycling containers at the event include washers, dryers, hot water heaters, and dish washers. Please set refrigerated appliances aside in a designated area at the event. Refrigerated units include refrigerators, freezers, and air conditioning units. Please make sure all appliances recycled are free of garbage and debris. This event is for recycling scrap metal and household appliances. No other materials will be accepted.

  9. Spiritual Counseling

    Youth have opportunities throughout the week to do group counseling and/or individualized counseling. Services provided by:Young Life who provides services to connect youth to Christ while in custody and out of custody such as, but not limited to team building exercises, bible study, one-on-one counseling.Christ for Life and Prisons for Christ who provide services such as, but not limited to bible study, seminary, in custody concerts, and one-on-one counseling to those in custody.These services are available throughout the week to any in-custody youth who would like to participate.
