  9. Morton Transfer Station closed

    The East Lewis County Transfer Station, 6745 U.S. Hwy 12, Morton, will temporarily be closed every Wednesday and Thursday in July due to staffing shortages. Hours for solid waste disposal and recycling drop off on Monday (except July 4 when it will be closed), Tuesday, Friday and Saturday will be 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with the inbound gates closing at 4:45 p.m. The Lewis County Central Transfer Station, 1411 S.   10. Residents Can Recycle 5 Gallons of Used Motor Oil at Hazo Hut

    Residents may drop of household hazardous waste for free from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. today at the Lewis County Central Transfer Station, 1411 S. Tower Ave., Centralia. Examples of household hazardous materials that can be dropped off are cleaners, lawn, garden, pool chemicals, and up to 10 burned out fluorescent lights. Residential customers may drop off up to five gallons of used motor oil when Hazo Hut is open. This limit is per household per daily visit.
