Lewis County Solid Waste Advisory Committee meets today (10/8)
The Lewis County Solid Waste Advisory Committee (SWAC) meets at 1:00 p.m. the second Wednesday of every other month in the new Lewis County Public Works Building, 57 W. Main St., Chehalis, WA 98532. If a regularly scheduled meeting lands on a holiday, the chairperson may elect to cancel the meeting or members may vote to meet on an alternate date.Meetings are open to the public, and also offered online via Zoom. Lewis County Animal Shelter reduces adult dog adoption fees through June 17
Ana, a husky, is among the many adult dogs available for adoption. CHEHALIS – In an effort to help more dogs find their forever homes, the Lewis County Animal Shelter is holding a special dog adoption event – with extended hours and reduced adoption fees. The shelter is reducing the fee for adopting adult dogs by 50 percent – dropping the fee to $100 – and extending its hours to 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Saturday, June 10, and Tuesday, June 13, through Saturday, June 17.The goal of this one-time, emergency reduced-fee adoption event is to encourage the public to …
