Accreditation
On 04/10/12 the Lewis County Coroner’s Office was awarded accreditation through the International Association of Coroners & Medical Examiners (IACME). This process began in 2011 and culminated with the inspection process on 04/10/12. We are now one of only five coroner’s offices in Washington State to have received accreditation through this association.The IAC&ME has established a set of accreditation standards and these encompass administration, facilities, forensics and investigative for a total of 130 standards. Lewis County offices closed June 19 in observance of Juneteenth
Juneteenth is a holiday commemorating the end of slavery in the United States with enforcement of the Emancipation Proclamation freeing the remaining slaves in Texas on June 19, 1865.The city of Centralia is holding a Juneteenth celebration on Saturday, June 17 at George Washington Park.

WSDA Pesticide Recertification Credit
WSU Lewis & Cowlitz County Extension will be hosting the Small Farm School and will be offering WSDA Pesticide Recertification Credit for two of the six programs. The program will be held at Centralia College on March 16, 2013 form 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
