NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the LEWIS COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS (BOCC) passed the following Ordinance during a public hearing on January 23, 2017: Ordinance 1271 regulating marijuana activity and lifting a moratorium thereon, repealing chapter 8.60 and amending chapters 5.20, 8.15, 8.40, 8.45, 8.55, and 15.05, and Title 17 of Lewis County Code and amending the Lewis County Annual Fee Schedule. Pursuant to RCW 36.58.100 et seq., the Lewis County Solid Waste Disposal District (LCSWDD) No. 1, a quasi-municipal corporation, was established by Ordinance 1124 (now LCC 8.15.150) in 1992, after Lewis County and all incorporated cities signed an interlocal agreement to form it. In addition to forming the district, the agreement established flow control, directing all solid waste generated in Lewis County to be disposed of at LCSWDD sites. Representatives from the cities and the County serve as the Executive Advisory Committee to the Disposal District Commissioners, who by statute are the Lewis County Commissioners. The application period for Fiscal Year 2013 has closed. The Board of County Commissioners is currently accepting applications for use of hotel/motel lodging tax funds for the 2013 budget year from organizations whose programs or activities promote tourism in the unincorporated Lewis County area. “Tourism Promotion” is defined as “activities designed to increase tourism, including but not limited to advertising, publicizing, or otherwise distributing information for the purpose of attracting and welcoming tourists; and funding the marketing of special events designed to attract tourists.” These funds may no longer be used for the administrative costs of running an agency as …
